April 10, 2009:

Last July, a white paper proposal was submitted on behalf of the vole research community to convince NHGRI to generate a draft assembly of the prairie vole genome. This proposal has been officially approved and prairie voles have been added to the list of approved NHGRI sequencing targets. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this important project!

February 28, 2009:

The Vole Meeting 2009 successfully brought together a broad cross-disciplinary group of researchers, from behavioral ecology and evolution to behavioral neuroscience and genetics. Video recordings of all the talks will soon be available. Thanks to all involved and we hope to bring everyone together again in the future.
