I am an undergraduate student at Emory University, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. I will graduate in May of 2010. Beginning in middle school, I became fascinated with the brain and its role in creating consciousness and complex social behaviors. Since then, I have found ways to pursue my passion. I received the opportunity to join the Young Laboratory in June of 2006 as a part of the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience's Institute on Neuroscience (ION). This eight-week internship was geared for rising seniors in high school and rising freshmen in college. Since then, I have researched for credit for one semester, participated in the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience's Behavioral Research Advancements in Neuroscience (BRAIN) internship, and researched through the Scholarly Inquiry and Research at Emory (SIRE) Research Partners Program. I have worked closely with Zoe, Lisa, Heather, and James on both the molecular and behavioral aspects of pair bonding.
