My laboratory is interesting in understanding the genetic and neurobiological mechanisms underlying complex social behaviors, including social bonding and social attachments. By understanding these mechanisms we hope develop novel strategies for treating social deficits in psychiatric disorders characterized by social deficits, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia.
